The unincorporated community is situated in the central region of Sussex County in the state of Delaware. It has an elevation of 46 feet. The communities of Wood Branch and Flea Hill are just to the north of the community. Shortly and Woodcrest Estates are to its south. The area is home to the historical Providence United Methodist Church. The church was established in 1865, and services were initially held in the Rogers School.
